Sandy's Pedalling

HINT: For those of you who don't realise this, many computers keep a cache of web pages, which means that you may well need to do a "Reload" command from whatever internet viewing program you are using, if you want to be sure of seeing the lastest details. If you think you might not be seeing the very latest info, hit "Reload" while viewing the page in question.

SITE NEWS: Sandy is in GIBRALTAR, returning to UK on Saturday 9th December.

Sandy is finally off on his 3500 km cycle ride from Roscoff in northern France, all the way to Gibralter. Well, that's the theory anyway.

This is to mark his retirement from the Outdoor Pursuit lifestyle he has been leading since leaving the Royal Navy as a Commissioned Officer. It's a chill trip, and as such there is no assured daily plan, and no definite number of miles per day (kilometers actually as he is in Europe).

So a third era awaits, and this is the celebration of the start of it. This site is a record of his progress, containing his diary (from emails received), a map of progress and pictures when we can get them. Unfortunately Sandy's mobile doesn't take photos (don't ask), so these will come on-line in batches when we receive a CD by snail mail from time to time.

Sandy can also see this website when he gets to Internet Cafés, so if you have a message for him, you can email me here and I will put it up on the site for you. Sorry, no "blog" or "open forum" because certain humans delight in putting obnoxious material on them, and I don't have to time to monitor it.

If anyone needs to contact Sandy privately you can send an email direct, or if it is an emergency, Gilly will be able to contact him quicker.
